Erthos’ Earth Mount Solar™ redefines the physics and project economics of PV solar installation and ownership. At Aderis Energy, we saw an opportunity to deliver a rare combination of technology-enabled benefits for better long-term operations with improved monitoring, flexible control, and system scalability.
A bespoke solution.
Aderis has worked with Erthos from the beginning to maximize the benefit of Erthos’ 2MW generation block system template. The customized SCADA solution Aderis has developed for Erthos transforms each 2MW block into a stand-alone 2MW generator using our proven Energy Operating System (EOS).
2MW generator.
Leveraging the resiliency of multiple string inverters and a 10% AC overbuild capacity, each 2MW block is fitted with a dedicated local energy control unit (ECU). The ECU manages the string inverters as a single unit, dynamically controlling the group to maximize energy harvest and even compensate for individual string inverter outages.
Thinking about adding storage?
Aderis’ ECU is also capable of integrating storage at the same 2MW level to support smoothing, firming, peak shaving, and load shifting. Each ECU enables the Erthos 2MW block to function as a standard 2MW generator, supporting plant-wide communications with an IEEE and MESA standards compatible power plant control DNP3 interface.
Interwoven control fabric.
By connecting multiple 2MW generators, gigawatt-scale deployments are possible with full support for data aggregation, centralized control, and integration with third-party SCADA systems. With redundancy and resiliency built in, the Aderis system manages the details automatically – providing a complete turnkey solution that arrives ready-to-run on energization.
Integration simplified.
While Aderis’ SCADA may be used as a standalone solution, integration with customer-specific systems is supported and simple via a universal DNP3 interface. Whether your facility is 2MW in capacity or 200MW, the interface is the same. Simply monitor and control based on the system size and Aderis’ SCADA coordinates the ECUs automatically.
Here come the robots!
Key to Erthos’ value proposition, energy services are enabled by onsite robotic stewards – monitored and controlled by a custom module developed to operate seamlessly within Aderis’ platform. More than an autonomous cleaning device, the combination of the ErthBot® and Aderis’ SCADA platform set the stage for the development of auxiliary inspection and service features that are software-enabled.
